"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."
I have read these words many times, to myself and others, in preaching the gospel. Paul wrote these words in the context of reaping what we sow. I have often focused on the fact that we CAN get tired and weary (which is certainly true). I have pointed out that we will ONLY reap if we do not give up (also true). We must also focus on the promises that are made to us. Faithful servants WILL REAP, so GO DO GOOD!
It is wonderful that, in our individual daily lives, in serving God, we can serve our fellow man. There is a special privilege and joy, when that one we can help, is also a child of God.
